Introducing Pebbling!
Sharing meaningful ways to brighten your week while caring for yourself and the people who matter most.
In Restoring Our Girls, I wrote about “pebbling”, a term inspired by the way penguins present pebbles to potential mates as a sign of affection. It’s a simple gesture that carries deep meaning: I see you. I chose this for you. You matter to me.
Pebbling can be seen as a kind of bid for connection, simple ways of saying, “I’m paying attention, I care.” For us humans, it might look like sending someone a funny meme, a "this made me think of you" text, or picking up something you know they needed. Relationships are built through the small, intentional ways we reach out, and pebbling is a way to stay connected and show we care.
That’s why I decided to launch a new weekly subscription called Pebbling. It’s a space to share simple ways to connect, ideas to help you remember yourself, and ways to show care for the people you love. The little things that can make a big difference.
Zen Parenting Moment will continue to be a FREE subscription here on Substack (if you're getting this via email, you're already subscribed—thank you!). Pebbling will be a paid subscription, available for $5 a month or $50 a year (that’s a $10 savings), if you would like to upgrade.
You can also become a Zen Reader and offer a donation of your choice to support everything I write. And if you do, I’ll send you a free copy of both of my books, Zen Parenting and Restoring Our Girls as a thank you.
Hopefully you received your regular Zen Parenting Moment this morning, and if you’d like to subscribe to Pebbling, just click below to upgrade.
With appreciation!
