A simple way to build connection and confidence while avoiding mutual frustration.
When our partner or kids come home with a problem, we can practice listening intently, using our eyes to demonstrate we are following, and offerings “hmms” and “ohs” to show we are hearing them.
Then, when they are done, we can say one of the following sentences:
